The Computer Science Department at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, to begin September 2018. The candidate’s primary area of specialization should be Cyber Security and/or Cloud Computing. Exceptionally strong candidates in other areas, as well as those with a background in industry, will be considered. In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate is expected to develop an externally-funded research program involving undergraduate and/or graduate students, and to take a leadership role in the development and expansion of curricular programs in their area of specialization. The Computer Science faculty have opportunity to mentor graduate students and serve on thesis committees. At the time of appointment, candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.

The Computer Science Department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. Computer Science degree along with an M.S. degree in Computer Science, a B.A. degree in Computing and Informatics, and an M.S. in Data Analytics. The Computer Science department has twelve full-time faculty members, two full-time professional staff, a full-time lecturer, and seven ¾-time instructors.

Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 17,300 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia, with additional campuses in Camden and Stratford. The University comprises seven academic colleges and five schools—the William G. Rohrer College of Business; the Henry M.
